I grandi protagonisti di questa storia sono due: Aryen di Blastara e Khajil di Hecatoor. Non c'è nulla che li accomuni da nessun punto di vista (nè il genere, nè l'età, i propositi o il carattere), tranne una cosa: il loro lato oscuro che, man mano che la storia prosegue, viene sempre più alla luce. In parallelo, infatti, mentre il Drago con la sua malia corrompe Aryen, la magia nera che si scatena tra le mani del giovane Khajil lo porta verso l'autodistruzione.
Ed ecco il perchè della canzone che ho scelto per questa storia: "The Truth Beneath The Rose" dei Within Temptation. La parte oscura di ognuno di noi è relegata nelle profondità della nostra mente, almeno finchè non accade qualcosa che la scatena. Allora la fede vacilla. E' più facile scegliere il male; rende più forti, felici e potenti. Però è sbagliato.
E soltanto la verità, nuda e cruda, può farci comprendere quale sia la strada da scegliere e seguire.
